New York City, N.Y., June 15th, 2021 | People Places Things, is an online art exhibition featuring thirty four artists. You can view the exhibition by visiting Project Gallery V’s website.

Selected from works submitted by over 100 artists, People Places Things, presents a diverse group of 34 artists who reflect and reconsider art history’s most timeless subjects – the figure, the landscape and the common object – as a lens through which to address contemporary issues ranging from identity and human migration to changing urban spaces and the Covid-19 pandemic. These artists utilized a variety of materials and processes including found objects, ceramics, digital technology, photography, painting and printmaking to produce not only visually engaging but thought-provoking work that at once engages and knowingly disrupts once prescribed art historical genres.

The virtual showcase will feature the works by Adina Andrus, Aharon B. Cohen, Alex Hutton, Alexandra Chiou, Alexis Hill, Anna Sorokina, Ashley Houghton, Bridey McGlynn, Dalila Sanabria, Danqi Cai, Dante Migone-Ojeda, David Murgio, Deborah Druick, Diane Pribojan, Elizabeth Riley, Ellen Weider, Fábián Emőke, Gary Cruz, Hannah Duggan, Heather Drayzen, Heeseung Nam, Hui Tian, J Myszka Lewis, Jennifer Joanou, Julia Forrest, Lee Miller, Mike Dowley, Morgan Rose Free, Naho Taruishi, Omar Reyna, Rayden Lawrence, Roberto Jackson Harrington, Vy Trịnh and William Glaser Wilson

This is the first juried exhibition held by Project Gallery V, which was established in September of 2020 by Cary Hulbert and Trinity Lester. Project Gallery V is geared towards providing a virtual space for emerging artists to exhibit alongside established artists. We are committed to breaking down the arbitrary boundaries between artistic practices and supporting artists in every part of their professional creative careers.
